No Joke!! Ok, here's the deal. Back story..... I was notified on Friday that I'm being considered as one of the final candidates for a position I interviewed for that's really close to my home (4.99 miles)! I went last week for my second round of interviews with included meetings with the CEO and four Vice Presidents. The interviews went extremely well, the lady in HR said by the end of the week they would make a decision, and on Monday (today) or Tuesday I would be notified of that decision. Ok, on Friday on my way home from work (also known as Timbuktu) the woman calls, she had so much excitement in her voice, I just knew she was calling me to make an offer - NOT! Instead the excitement (which now doesn't make sense to me) was to tell me that the executives were at a stale mate in regards to deciding between me an another candidate. Of course my immediate thought was (huh???) so what they've decided is to have each of us come back in and do a presentation on one of their products.
Although I agreed, I think it's bullshit! I think they have enough information about me to make a decision. My resume speaks for itself, I interviewed great - what's the damn problem? Ok, so she emails me the instructions for the presentation and reluctantly I begin to prepare a presentation about a product I know absolutely nothing about.
After completing about six slides, I decided to go ahead and duplicate a few slides because they already had the correct background color and other formatting - nothing odd about duplicating slides in MS Powerpoint. In edit view I begin to click on the slides. As I click through the slides, I get a glimpse of what seems to be an image of some kind or something on some of the slides. So, I start to really click through all fourteen slides quickly and notice that it appears to be an image of a man! After closer examination it's a man standing in water with his arms outstretched towards the sky. The man looks to be Jesus! The image was so startling, I thought maybe I was tired and just seeing things!
I needed another set of eyes to look at it, to see if they saw it too. I called "C" and said "click through these slides and tell me if you see Jesus" "C" saw it too! It freaked us both out! We got on Google and searched for "man in powerpoint" "Jesus in presentation" nothing, then we searched for "hidden images in powerpoint" nothing! I went to Microsoft's site to search for hidden images - NOTHING. So, I went to bed. Thought maybe it would be gone in the morning. Jesus was in the file this morning. Anyway, I went to work, tweaked the presentation a bit more - saw Jesus was still in it. So, I decided to email the file to a friend to 1) get her feedback on the material and 2) to see if she saw him too. I explained the file to her and shipped it off to her in an email.
She IM'd me back with "I SAW HIM TOO!!!" I explained to her when you view it in "slide show" you can't see him - only in edit mode. I told her about me wanting to email it over to the company - but hadn't because I couldn't get Jesus out of it. My friend said, "Not that you can anyway - but maybe you don't want to!" So, I emailed the file to the women in HR with Jesus and all.
Has anyone heard of such a thing??? I'm thinking that it is some kinda hidden file that a Microsoft developer may have stuck in the program. Or maybe, the file is blessed and I will get that job!
