A few things "just living" has taught me....

1. Really good friends are a rare commodity. This is why I only have two.
2. It's a man's world.
3. Being African American, gay and female has had major disadvantages.
4. Begin African American and female has had one or two advantages.
5. Being degreed with experience hasn't helped me succeed, see #3.
6. Most women have major drama.
7. I trust very few people.
8. Family members can be jealous.
9. Soul mates are always connected.
10. I'm most comfortable alone, but enjoy companionship.
11. I love being T's mother, she has taught me a lot and she doesn't know it.
12. I'm dreading her departure in two years or so, but looking forward to my freedom. Although, I'm certain I will do absolutely nothing with it.
13. The best way to stay out of debt is to not acquire any.
14. I use to set goals and accomplish them, now I don't.
15. I have much more to learn.
