Free Yourself
I like it!
Whenever I listen to a CD and like over four tracks on the first listen its classified as "great" to me. On the first spin I enjoyed the first six tracks.
It's a keeper, don't sleep on Fantasia!

I'm enjoying this throw back R&B classic! This was a very dynamic trio. Some folks may be to young to know the contributions of Intro. Groups like Jodeci, Boys II Men, 112 and Jagged Edge would have a run for thier money if Intro was still making music. One of the group members of Intro, Kenny Greene wrote over half of Marg J. Blige's first album. Kenny "G-Love" Greene died from complications on October 1, 2001 due to being infected with the AIDS virus.
The last time Kenny was in the recording studio was in early 2001 singing background vocals for Tyrese "For Always" song on Tyrese 2000 Watts CD. Then in July of 2001, Kenny broke his silence and he came out disclosing his condition to everybody at Sister 2 Sister magazine admitting that he led a bisexual lifestyle and had full-blown AIDS. It was indeterminable how long he was bedridden, but he was hospitalized at a Jewish hospital in Los Angeles, California. He passed on October 1, 2001. RIP Kenny "G-Love" Greene.
By far the hottest, sexiest track on this CD is "Come Inside" I'll try to get it on Zen.Radio in the next few days.
More On Intro:
Combining hip-hop rhythms with smooth vocals, Intro emerged on the R&B music scene in the early 1990s. The group features impressive songwriting that deals with romance and relationships, and the trio offers a contemporary and urban look at street culture. Intro has an emotional and expressive style, noted for its distinctive blend of hip-hop beat with silken harmony. The group is comprised of three artists: Kenny Greene, Jeff Sanders, and Clinton "Buddy" Wike. The band's name is an acronym, standing for Innovative New Talent Reaching Out. Intro cut its debut eponymous album in 1993, and the record received critical acclaim for its songwriting. Greene and co-writer, Dave "Jam" Hall, tied with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis for ASCAP's award for R&B Songwriter of the Year. The album went to number 11 on Billboard's R&B album chart. Intro followed up with "New Life" in 1995, which was recognized by critics who found the second album demonstrated a maturity in Intro's work, particularly in terms of its musical composition and arrangement. In 1998, the trio released Melismas. Intro played with high profile stars, such as Chaka Khan and Shanice Wilson, during the late 1990s. The group recorded a track, "I'm the One Who Loves You", that was produced by Stevie Wonder.

Do you remember them????? Some of you "youngsters" may have never heard of this group. While "hijacking" music this weekend Loose Ends came to my mind. I thought of some of my favorite songs by them, and what I was doing at the time. This was during the time of "real music" good music! There was no need for sampling and such. The lyrics made sense too. No bullshit lyrics like "she ain't ain't got no panties on" or "it must be ya azz cause it ain't yo face, I need a tip drill".
Loose Ends was a black trio ( two guys, one girl) from England. They came on the scene in the early 80s. I remember getting wind of them around 1986 the album was named Zagora. However, they had quite a few albums before this one. Thier sound is R&B, with the music having a slight techno feel to it. They did well on the US music charts, quickly rising to the top.
