In a Roman State of Mind

Above you can see some of my favorite shots captured on the trip.
I'm still gearing up for the extended post detailing our vacation in Rome, Italy. So much was experienced I want to ensure that I don't leave out any details, so I want to wait until I feel confident I can do the trip justice in my writing about it.

My mind is still so very overwhelmed! I see the sights and hear the sounds of Rome as if I were still in the city. Although I throughly enjoyed touring Ancient Rome, the BEST thing that occurred on this trip was the opportunity to spend quality time with my daughter. She was a little girl the last time we vacationed; she is now a young woman. My work, her friends and school coupled with the growing pains of a teenager had allowed us to get so caught up in our own worlds that even though we are close, we don't spent as much time as I would like together on the regular bases.

This trip felt like two friends in Rome! We walked the streets with our arms interlocked, or sometimes holding hands...it was so cute. We conversed and laughed together on our walking tours and at dinner. Spending one on one time with her was amazing.

We came back to Texas that much closer. Now we can share our memories of Rome for a lifetime .

Next up........... Germany, May 2007!winking.gif

I know this trip was fantastic for the both of you on so many levels, I for one cant wait to read so much more and or hear so much more about the country its people, the food and the Architecture and history of the city. I am as hyped about it as if I had went with you. Hopefully, I will get to spend some quality time with my sibling and my neice this year, I miss it and look forward to it. It means much to stay in contact with those you love dearly because the hectic day to day can push you apart. Even if its a movie or a dinner together. Please write more soon , Im anxious !!!! THE ITALIAN SHOES ARE THE BOMB IN CASE NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT THEM!!!!

I'm glad you two had a great time. Love the pics. And by the way, where's my gift?
