  • I returned to work on Thursday, blah! I am so NOT focused on work at this time. The last three weeks have been spent packing momma's home - boy did my mother have a lot of stuff! I miss my mother so much. Getting back to my normal routine is good and I know my mother would want that.
  • I've been sort of out of touch with TV and the happening over the last few weeks, so as I come up to speed on the "goings on" I will have more to post about.
  • Well, I finally got one on these not really enjoying it like I thought I would. I bought a couple of games and around five movies for it, those items along with the unit are posted up collecting dust! Ebay is a callin......

  • One thing that I recently purchased that I'm totally in love with is a new product from iHome Audio called
    iH5
it's the first clock radio/ipod charger/speakers built specifically for the ipod. I love waking up to whateva in the hell I want too!

  • I've checked a couple of new CDs....

  • M.I.A
    Arular
My daughter asked if I would purchase this CD for her - so I stopped her by CD Addict and picked up a used copy for her. She asked if she could listen to it on the way home - I cringed and said "I guesssss" She popped it in and I thought dang this shit is pretty good! By the time we got home, I said, "girl let me hold that CD so I can put it on my ipod!

  • Missy
    The Cookbook
    Not impressed!

  • R Kelly
    TP.3 Reloaded
R Kelly has done it again. Even though I vowed not to support his efforts after the "peeing on the girl" incident - you can't deny the fact that the man makes excellent music.

  • Ying Yang Twins
    USA
Disappointed. With the exception of maybe three songs, this album has a lot to be desired.

  • I'm excited about the new reality show Venus and Serena: For Real. I've seen the first two episodes and found them entertaining. Since I'm a huge Serena fan, I couldn't miss this show. The girls are doing it big!

  • My new favorite thing - Starbuck's Green Tea Frappuccino
    Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino

  • I've slacked off on my reading again - need to start picking the books back up!

  • Yea me! I closed on the sale of a house this week. A sale is so rewarding! I'm always pumped for a few hours with excitement and motivation after wards. Who's up next - I have the American Dream for sale :) so much more fulfilling than designing software.

  • My 16 year old daughter "T" completed three weeks of driving school on Friday. Look out world, well at least Dallas motorist!"

  • I've decided to get a tattoo in honor of my mother. I've never had a tattoo, and never would have thought I would ever get one. However, for some reason I want to do this in her memory. My daughter is an artist and is suppose to help me coming up with a nice design. Any ideas?
  • Nuff said.

I just want to take a moment to say thanks for all the calls and posts in response to the loss of my mother.  This is a difficult time for me and your warm condolences have helped me to get through the last six days.  I thought I would share snippets of my mother's obituary:

"Born November 4, 1941 in Montgomery, AL to the late parents of Mr. Jack and Mrs. Jessie Jones in Minden, Louisiana. Mrs. Washington fought a long, strong battle against cancer with the same diligence she used in life. She departed to her new home with Jesus Christ on Saturday night, July 9, 2005".

"Mrs. Washington was a dedicated federal government employee for over 16 years in which she worked for the US Air Force Academy, US Air Force Strategic Air Command, United States Postal Service, NORAD, Social Security and VA Hospital among other government entities. She wed SGT Willie T. Washington who preceded her in death. Mrs. Washington leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Kevin, Forsythia and granddaughter Tori; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2005, 11:00 a.m."

"You will be greatly missed, but our loss is Heaven's gain"

    I love you mom!

    In Loving Memory
    Mom
    November 4, 1941 - July 9, 2005

My mother's battle with Cancer has ended.  She passed at Baylor Hospital in Dallas last night at 9:30.  Her arrangements have not been made as of yet.  My struggle to get through this life without her has begun.

I want to thank those who offered words of encouragement to me as I helped her through her fight with Cancer. Special thanks to Carla for being by my side to the very end.
