Uncanny Resemblance

t.jpghop.JPG

I'm amazed at how much my daughter and I resembled one another as little girls -even down to the hair style :) Little "Hop" is the first picture (although, not so little any longer she is 16), big "Hop" is the picture on the right (if I reveal my age, I'll have to kill ya).

Love Forecast

Straight up yanked this from C. It is somewhat accurate.

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who have a split personality - cold as ice on the outside but hot as fire in the heart.
In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.
You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

One of my favorite things...

I'm addicted to these!!!!

Mojito pronounced 'mohito'

1.5 oz Rum
12 fresh spearmint leaves
1/2 lime
7 oz club soda
2 tbsp. simple syrup
(or 4 tsp. sugar)

For the smoothest summer cocktails, gently crush mint leaves and lightly squeeze lime in a cool tall glass. Pour sweet syrup to cover and fill glass with ice. Add Rum, club soda, and stir your emerging mojito well. Garnish with a lime wedge and a few sprigs of mint. The best bar recipes then add these essential steps: toast, sip, and enjoy fine mojitos with your friends.

Gosh I wish I was sippin one now!

Good Stuff

I've been busy, busy, busy! A lot of good things have been happening for me, I have to say I am blessed.

**My mother is doing exceptionally well, I'm extremely happy about that! She is wanting to get out and about, regular eating habits have return, hair growth :)

**Got a new J-O-B!!!! and with a company I've wanted to work with for some time now. I interviewed with them a year ago, kinda fell through the cracks because the hiring manager at that time left the company in the middle of the interview process!!! (pissed me off!), I was then contacted to work for them on a contractual basis, I accepted with the hopes of a job offer - didn't happen due to budgetary reasons - blah! Well, got a call they got budget now... they want a sista :) She called with an outstanding offer - I accepted, gave notice today starting my new role on May 31st. Wish me luck!!!

**My "old" boss told me that I could make today my last day - cool! Cause a nig wanted some time off and I wasn't doing shit no way. Hopefully, I will use these days off to jet to Orlando and visit with Mickey Mouse before starting my new job. Trying to get the hookup on two free Delta Airline tickets.

**Got a new phone the LG PM-325 I'm waiting on my new Bluetooth headset companion. Can we say...Bond, James Bond?

**I won the fight with the company that didn't want to pay me my damn money for some contract work I did for their high profile client *cough* *cough* Fed.ExKin.kos *cough* *cough* cause I sued their trifflin, jack asses! Looks like the Bentley will be getting some new shoes after all.

Ok, so it's no Bentley - I can dream can't I ?

Nuff said.

Lovin it!!!

Alpine In-Vehicle Solution for iPodĀ®
readforipod.jpg

I wanted to make my ipod even more "portable". I have so much music that it's ashame not to have it in my car! I had researched FM modulators for ipod, but all the reviews I read, and people I talked to said that the output sounded crappy. I don't do "crappy".......

I went to Tweeters this past weekend to further my research. It seems Alpine makes a solution for the ipod. No FM modulators, pure stereo quality sound! My system was installed yesterday. I've been bouncing and bassin' to the music on my "pod" every since. Lovin it!

On another note, C and I went to the Improv this past Friday to check out Mo'Nique. We had a great time! This woman is funny as hell!

Even better was the fact that we "managed" to get drinks and food for free *tongue in cheek*
