Not 101/1001

Since I rarely achieve "resolutions" that I set for myself I thought I would set "2005 Goals" like Michelle did. I'm better at reaching goals - but don't hold me to none of this shit:unsure

My 2005 Goals

1. Go to an Oprah show. I love Oprah! I've always wanted to go to a show. I will conquer the reservation line this year.

2. More "Me" time. Treat myself sometime since I spend so much time with myself - take a couple hours a week to relax, relate, release. Television, people and computers not included.

3. Learn more about geography. To start the seven continents. C and I talked about how we know little about other parts of the world, the land or its people. To start we decide to study the seven continents, she picked one (Antarctica) and so did I. The idea is to learn as much as we can about a continent and then transfer the knowledge to one another - I have Australia!

4. Network. Broaden my network. In my line of business it's essential to network. I've been extremely lacks in doing so.

5. Vacation. Bermuda, Hawaii, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago (to see Oprah).

6. More Family time. This is one I have every year. I'm determined this year to spend more quality time with my Mother, Brother and Daughter!

7. Marketing. Marketing campaign for my real estate business.

8. Sell More Houses. With the help of #7 I shall achieve this goal.

9. Secure Professional Certifications. In Real Estate and Information Technology.

10. Sketch. I achieve so much satisfaction out of drawing, yet I hardly ever draw anything - go figure! No excuses.

11. Entertain. Said this last year too. This year I want to have gatherings for "the grown and sexy" dinner parties, cookouts, parties etc. This will also aid #4.

12. Minimize. Start with the garage. Sell, donate or give away all the shit in the boxes stacked up along the sides of the garage. Next, stop paying for the storage space I've had for going on 3 years - sell, donate or give away all that shit in Public Storage. Next, minimize the interior of my house - sell, donate or give away furniture and other things I no longer need or want.

13. Redecorate. After the completion of #12 re decorate in the modern, Asian theme in a minimalist fashion.

14. Interior Design. Look into studying interior design - one of my passions. 1/03/2005....60 classes @ $1,219.00 per class means reprioritizing this goal.

15. Notary Public. Study and test for licensure.

16. Read. I have boxes and boxes of books in the garage that I have never read. 1/04/2005 Started, with Colin Powell's autobiography (I admire this man) check out Zen.Reading to stay current on what I'm reading.

17. Buddha. I've tried to read books but found it very complex to absorb. I would like to understand the teachings of Buddha. Never mind that I'm Baptist.

18. Exercise. Nothing extreme - no need in fooling myself. But a regular routine of some form of exercise such as walking or riding a bike.

19. Buy a bike. To aid #18.

20. Will and Grace. Get season 1-3 on DVD. Take a day to watch every episode. You can help me out Will & Grace :smile

I like these! I need to make a list. The more I read the more I want to accomplish this year. Need to make a list and cross off as I go!

You better have Oprah on speed dial!!! My Mom has a team of folks trying to get tickets for the last 3 months and have yet to get through.
