A few things "just living" has taught me....
- Really good friends are a rare commodity. This is why I only have two.
- It's a man's world.
- Being African American, gay and female has had major disadvantages.
- Begin African American and female has had one or two advantages.
- Being degreed with experience hasn't helped me succeed, see #3.
- Most women have major drama.
- I trust very few people.
- Family members can be jealous.
- Soul mates are always connected.
- I'm most comfortable alone, but enjoy companionship.
- I love being T's mother, she has taught me a lot and she doesn't know it.
- I'm dreading her departure in two years or so, but looking forward to my freedom. Although, I'm certain I will do absolutely nothing with it.
- The best way to stay out of debt is to not acquire any.
- I use to set goals and accomplish them, now I don't.
- I have much more to learn.
What are your life lessons?
In a nutshell the only life lesson I've learned is this:
"you reap what you sow..."
