Kevin Hill is a new UPN show. I've only caught a few episodes but thought it was pretty cool. It's about Kevin (Taye) who is this successful lawyer and also a playa, playa type - ya know loves the ladies! Well, salt or should I say formula is thrown in his game when he finds out that he has inherited guardianship of his cousin's baby girl Sarah.
What intrigues/mystifies me most about the show is baby Sarah. How is it that on one show she is newborn size, next time, she looks to be about 6-7 months? Watch again and she is newborn size. And on one occasion she was a damn doll - I swear! What's up with that? She is suppose to be a 10 - month old. Her skin tone and hair texture also varies from show to show, sometimes she's light skin with curly hair. Other times she is dark as this Dell laptop I'm typing on with a baby fro that's screaming for some "Lets Jam" to lay it down. The casting director for the show obviously has no concept of infant development or African American skin tones. I don't know if the white folks even notice, but I know most black folks probably have. UPN betta step up their game and represent properly!
In my treacherous drive to work one morning, I heard the "Morning Team" on my local radio station talking about it. Yea, they noticed too! Come to find out Sarah is played by five babies in which two are a set of twins. Can we get some consistency with the "look and feel" of baby Sarah! Dang....
i caught one episode of the show.. and i thought that while the concept was interesting, the acting in general was pretty bad. no.. really bad.
